This text, inspired by its sister text in Spanish, Sanar de la Salud, is meant to be a practical one. A reflection of years of inquiry into the theme, it is also inspired by our time learning from original peoples and pueblos and those who have kept the flame of natural and traditional medicine alive all these past centuries. Settle into the land and look around to see the gifts she offers us. Understand that our body can become occupied territory in this patriarchal-capitalist system; that the institutions and companies have made us believe that our “health” is something handed over to us, outside of us. It is our turn to detoxify our bodies, to defend them, to recover them and to listen to them. Living plants, burning pots and red moons, to relive our senses and the practice of healing together.
